CHEF’S KITCHEN

A classic pre-war building designed in 1925 by the renowned architect Rosario Candela is home to a professional chef with a clear vision of the kitchen he wanted for his own residence. Despite the size restrictions typical of a New York apartment, we managed to find generous storage and counter space, all with a lovely ambience. The client envisioned the entire space – a combined kitchen and dining room – to have subway tiles from floor to ceiling throughout. The result is a highly functional kitchen designed not only for cooking but also for relaxing gatherings with friends.
